The Racial Prism

Just because we have a black president doesn't mean our racial problems are over. This country was built on racism and the murder of anyone who wasn't white. Clearly it's going to affect us for a long time. Luckily Groves is a pretty accepting community. There are a few exceptions, but it usually doesn't have to do with race.
Self segregation can definitely be seen in the hall and in the cafeteria but that's expected everywhere. Your closest friends are gonna be people like you who you can relate to. The biggest racial problem I do see at Groves is just ignorance about whats happening in our country. And some white people not wanting to accept that white privilege is a thing and reverse racism isn't.
