On a bright, clear morning in April 2013, two professional poker players from California were heading west on Interstate 80 in rural Iowa when they were stopped by two Iowa State Troopers. The cop said that they stopped them because he turned without flashing his blinkers. They had $100,000 to play poker with them but the cops didn't believe that and took the money and just gave him a traffic warning. The cop said that he thought that they were using the money to buy drugs because the guy had marihuana in the car, but the marihuana  was medical marihuana. the police took their money and left. it is a big case now and there is investigation that is happening.  For more information, check CNN

  1. This is an interesting case. I can see why the cops thought that the money was going to be used for drugs due to the marijuana. The police need to have solid evidence to win this case. I don't know how they are going to prove what the money was going towards. Also, if the marijuana was for medical purposes the cops need a better explanation to prove their side. I look forward to see how this case plays out.
